Description
A small work of art to brighten any space, this ornament features an abstract design evoking an effervescent mountain spring. I made it by hand from reclaimed roofing copper and fired glass enamel colors onto them in a kiln at 1500-1600 degrees Fahrenheit. I developed the design by firing thin layers of glass multiple times so that the colors interact with each other. The copper shines from beneath the transparent glass background, while the blue and white glasses intermingle from the center outward. The ornament is about 3 x 3 inches and hangs from a satin ribbon. This work of art is one of a kind. Made of glass and metal, it can be displayed indoors or outdoors in a sheltered location, free from impacts.
