art festival booth by Kristin Ellis

Welcome

to my online gallery. I am an interdisciplinary artist. I designed, made, and photographed all of the jewelry and objet d’art you will find here. I have been making art for decades and have exhibited widely. I have taught my artistic techniques for many years. If you want to see my work in person, you can check out the Buy In Person page.

Creating artwork is always an exploration for me. I follow an intuitive path until I find a balance, between soft curves and dynamic angles, subtle colors and pure gemstone hues, richly embellished surfaces and curving forms. I tend to layer adventurous experimentation over a foundation of traditional metalsmithing and enameling techniques as I bring my designs into reality. I may incorporate found objects into an enamel piece, or accent hand forged scrap copper with a fine faceted gemstone. I often make my own mechanisms, like clasps and pin backs, entirely by hand.

I design jewelry and enamel work to surprise and delight, to fascinate and inspire. I make it to be a lasting and meaningful part of someone’s life, to be gifted and passed down across generations.

I hope you enjoy looking around. If you have questions, feel free to reach out by email, contact page, or social media.
