Copper Enamel Ornament, Splash of Cobalt Blue

Description

A small work of art to brighten any space, this ornament is a splash of deep cobalt blue. I made it by hand from reclaimed roofing copper and fired glass enamel colors onto them in a kiln at 1500-1600 degrees Fahrenheit. I developed the freeform design by layering blue and white glasses over a transparent base which allows the copper to shine from underneath the glass. The ornament is about 3 x 3 inches and hangs from a satin ribbon. OOAK. Made of glass and metal, it can be displayed indoors or outdoors in a sheltered location, free from impacts.
