Description
An OOAK ornament celebrating the emergence of spring. I made it by hand from reclaimed roofing copper and fired glass enamel colors onto them in a kiln at 1500-1600 degrees Fahrenheit. I developed the freeform design through the molten interaction of translucent jade green and opaque pastel yellow, while the copper shines from underneath the glass. The ornament is about 3 3/8 inches by 3 inches and hangs from a satin ribbon. Made of glass and metal, it can be displayed indoors or outdoors in a sheltered location, free from impacts.
