Description
I made these ornaments from reclaimed roofing copper and fired glass enamel colors onto them in a kiln at 1500-1600 degrees Fahrenheit. I developed the freeform design through the molten interaction of translucent jade green and opaque pale blue, while the copper shines from underneath. The ornament is about 2 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches and hangs from a satin ribbon. This work of art is one of a kind. Made of glass and metal, it can be displayed indoors or outdoors in a sheltered location, free from impacts.
