Sugar Skull Spoon Necklace with Flowers and Scrolls
Regular price $50.00
I made this necklace by piercing out the image of a sugar skull from a vintage silver plated silver spoon bowl using a traditional jeweler's hand saw. I completed this design in 2 stages. First, I cut out the skull image, and then went back in to saw out the elaborate floral designs. I gave the spoon a brushed finish and hung it from a 22-inch chain. The spoon pendant is about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. The result is pretty and edgy. A one-of-a-kind necklace upcycled from a worn piece of old flatware. The pictures show the necklace both front and back. The necklace can be worn either way, and it goes with every outfit, since the colors show through the openwork design.
