Hammered Copper Enamel and Sterling Earrings with Blue Lace Agate
These handmade original earrings are hammered copper with glass enamel, sterling silver, blue lace agate and fresh water pearls. They are asymmetrical, reflecting the individual beauty of natural forms.
I began this pair of by hammering the leaf shapes from reclaimed roofing copper using a technique called fold forming. I then fired glass enamel onto the copper. I used traditional silversmithing techniques to make the earwires and links for the blue lace agate and fresh water pearls.
The earrings are 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) long.
