Firing a demo in my Wednesday night class. I demonstrated the sgraffito technique where one layer of enamel is fired, then another layer of enamel is applied. It is then dried, designs scratched through, then fired. It was a fun, introductory class. Next week we’ll do stenciling!
Many thanks to everyone who visited my booth at the Eco-Chic Craftacular! It was a lovely weekend and I had a great time meeting so many new people. Upcycling metals into new jewelry is more rewarding to me as an artist after being part of this show.

Here are some earrings I’m working on, amidst my typical bench chaos. I cut up the border of an old silver plated bowl into sections that will become earrings for the Earth Day Art Market tomorrow!
